100/200 Bellagio
This happend during the WSOP and I cant for the life of me figure out how I got called down in this hand. Anyways heres how it went.
Im sb with AsQs folds to the button who raises, I 3 bet, bb 4bets with 88, button folds I call. Flop KsTs3c I C/R he 3 bets, I 4 bet he calls. Turn 2c I bet he calls River was some blank I bet he calls. Im just looking for some kind of reasoning behind such spewy play. In my opinion the only hand he can beat is air which I will have maybe 5% of the time here, but Im a NL guy so please set me straight here. Thoughts? |

Your opponents play bad, that's why you should be a winner. I don't know what you're looking for here.
Either that or you're a tellbox. |

Re: 100/200 Bellagio
Generally, a SB 3-bet vs a button open raise is not going to be respected very much. This flop is quite draw heavy (spades, OESD, overcard/gut-shot), so I'm not surprised he called you down. His flop 3-bet is pretty spewy. Personally I'd probably have just called down the flop c/r as long as no A/Q/J show up on the board.

Re: 100/200 Bellagio
Damn I remember this hand. I was the button and you had just bluffed me off middle pair one orbit ago. When you bet this time you bet with authority.
Like you wanted me to fold. So I listend to Vorhaus "It Depends", and Caro "Strong means Weak" and called you down. Do you expect me to call the turn and then fold the river? Ps. I must have been steaming a bit to 4-bet you there. |

Re: 100/200 Bellagio
I'll openly admit Im not the best limit player out there. I just was wondering why people make call downs like this, its beyond my feeble no limit thinking.

[/ QUOTE ] If he'd just called down from your flop c/r then there wouldn't be much debate IMO, since the board stayed as safe as possible. The flop 3bet sure looks like he's either got a good read on you that you are ramming-and-jamming draws, or villain was tilting. Also, your flop cap rarely has any FE imo, esp OOP. Surf |

Re: 100/200 Bellagio
People make bad calldowns in limit because the mistake isn't a huge mistake when compared to NL.
They won't lose as much money making these mistakes because because the size of the pot gets so big compared to the size of the bet. On average people won't learn as quickly because the effect (losing money) isn't as pronounced. |
