Diablo,

I'm sorry Google bought YouTube rather than your company. Please don't take it out on the children.

Kisses,
Daver

Cardo,

I would love to have a beer and do some LARPing with you if you're ever in the LA area. Would be an interesting trip report. I don't know why I just thought of LARP.

Skunk, I am MOVING to the LA area. Scouting starts the 29th! From my friend's apartment! A grad student! In IRVINE. Joy.

And if by LARPing, you mean that fine White Wolf product, "Quest for the Co-Ed Halloween Party," then I'd be down.

Yours,

'Cardo.

I understand your point, but I completely disagree. If I had posted pictures in an attempt to solicit opinions, no purpose would have been served. I am perfectly capable of evaluating a set of cufflinks and deciding whether to buy them or not. My post was an attempt to garner some new ideas for links that I've either never seen or thought of previously. For instance, skunkworks, in his brief reply, suggests cufflinks connected with a link or chain. I'd never thought of even looking at these before. Now I will.

Maybe my OP could have been worded a bit more clearly, or explicitly laid out my reasoning for being vague or failing to offer a picture to jumpstart the discussion. Next time, I'll be sure to do so.

Cardo,

I'll buy you a beer if you make it here in one piece.

M,

"I, too, can use the Google search feature."

"For instance, skunkworks, in his brief reply, suggests cufflinks connected with a link or chain. I'd never thought of even looking at these before."

RESULT ONE FROM MY GOOGLE IMAGE SEARCH LINK FOR "cufflinks"

Both Mens Rea and Dids bring up very valid points in both responses. However I think Dids wins in this one.

You should probably try thinking before posting more often.

El D,

Perhaps not so surprisingly, that exact image from your google search link was what sparked my initial comment.

I've started to believe that OOT can tolerate a lot of stupidity when it's within a thread, and that terrible new threads are what kills the forum because it pushes better threads down.

Would you say that your standards go up for thread starters? This is probably why I have never started a thread in OOT (knowing I don't have anything good or interesting to offer except the occasional commentary in other threads).

Also, anyone have any opinions on silk knot cufflinks? They seem kinda hideous to me, but convince me otherwise. Bonus questions: Do french cuffs seem more formal to you? If you see someone wearing a shirt with french cuffs + cufflinks, what is your first impression?
