Pokersitescout has been around for several months. A site called PokerPulse used to collect similar data, but they went away or something and stopped posting any data on their site. PSS filled this niche very nicely.

We're watching the numbers closely to see what the impact of the legislation is. Judging by the increased traffic to our site, many of you are watching as well. There's a certain morbid fascination in observing a disaster of this magnitude.

So far, it seems to be business as usual among the top sites. Traffic remains at normal levels pretty much across the board. I am sure there are some major seismic shifts ahead of us, though. If Party and Pacific suddenly lose half of their customers, that's 25% of the total online poker market gone in one fell swoop. What will happen to those players is anybody's guess. And that's just one of the changes that may lie ahead of us.

Whatever happens, we'll be watching, and we'll try to give some coherent reports as things develop. You all are welcome to watch along with us.

Scout

Before I respond to the part I bolded, great site and great work on it.

I think anyone displaced by Party, most (80%+) will go to Tilt or Stars, the sites everyone knows about besides Party. If McDonalds is closed, you go to Burger King, you usually don't go home and make a sandwich.

I actually heard that Party bought out Poker Pulse either as they were planning to go public or right after. They didn't want this type of traffic information to be made public to investors, shareholders, and the financial community.

Just an unsubstantiated rumor though.

Thanks for the kind words. To answer a few of the questions ....

We have no current plans to expand the list of sites we cover. We're completely occupied with other things at the moment.

We will definitely have the capability to generate graphs and charts from live data at some point. I may generate some static graphs and post them when interesting things start happening in the coming days and weeks.

Average player counts are also on the to-do list.

I know we have plenty of room for improvement. The site has undergone a huge expansion in the months since we opened, and it will keep improving over time. Stay tuned.

Scout

Hi, I like your site.

Any chance you could add avg players by hour and day ?

Or just peak by day if posible.

This actually makes sense to me, as the comparative numbers they were giving out before going public were, eh, rather generous and conveniently unverifiable.
