Default NL Cy Young Award

ok, handicapping the race now that the season is over, what do you think the true odds are on Webb, Carpenter, etc? The reason I ask is that a friend of mine lost his 7-1 Carpenter future on Sportsbook (via Paradise) and he wants to buy some of mine at a fair price. I'm thinking that he's probably 3-1 or so, but maybe I'm overly optimistic since I stand to win a lot if he wins.

Thanks for the feedback.

I'll take a stab at it...

Webb 1.25 - 1
Carpenter 2.6 - 1
Hoffman 4 - 1
Oswalt 11 - 1
Field 100 - 1

I think that's a 0% market.

Hoffman more likely than Oswalt? I just don't see it. Oswalt even has as about as good of a resume as Webb or Carpenter, he just hasn't gotten the exposure.

I'd be quite surprised if Hoffman came 2nd or 3rd, let alone first. Though with the people that vote on these things, stranger things have happened.

Oswalt is more like 5-1.

Tell your friend to contact sportsbookreview.com. I have some lost wagers from sportsbook.com too and I'm going to fight them tooth and nail, because they're essentially stealing from me.
