(60) AK...multitabler
He's an unknown but on all my 60's.
The turn is my biggest concern. Easy fold on river IMO. Re: (60) AK...multitabler
So on the turn you're putting him on exactly AQ or Q7, with Q7 being very unlikely given the preflop action?

Re: (60) AK...multitabler
I don't see any better way of playing this hand. Flop bet size looks fine. Turn CC looks fine. River fold is obv.

I'm just trying to learn. But it's hard to find a hand we're behind to on the turn that plays this way. Does Q-something call preflop and flop? Possibly a set of 7s. |

Re: (60) AK...multitabler
Problem with calling turn, how often do you figure you get to see a cheap river here? I don't like your chances of that. And if you're behind now unless you manage to spike an A on the river you're not gonna improve, and certainly aren't getting the odds to boat up.
I'd personally bet flop for t170, and then bet 1/2 pot on turn and be prepared to drop it to a raise. If flat-called then check/call a reasonable river bet. |

Re: (60) AK...multitabler
I think I play it the same. How do you play the river if it was the 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] instead?

He could be making a cheap stab at the pot with any Ace, in which case he'd need some huge balls to fire again. OP's line looks fine to me. Note that Hero could very well play AQ the same way figuring he'd get no more action if he led the turn, so why not let Villain possibly take a swing at it, then same thing on the river once Villain does take a swing on the turn. |

It would feel so weak to fold, and too reckless to check-push. I kind of like your idea of leading smaller on the flop and leading turn again. [ QUOTE ] I think I play it the same. How do you play the river if it was the 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] instead? [/ QUOTE ] I think I'm still checking, and seeing what happens. It would be a much harder fold for sure if he bet that 800 again, but I think I would still fold. It looks like AQ, AK, 77 to me but could also be a balsy JJ. My stack (~900) seems to awkward for some sort of blocking bet too. |
