Two heads-up hands with questions
Both of these hands are against the same opponent. This villain does not like to fold pre-flop or post-. Villain is not prone to bluffing but he donks a LOT if he flops any kind of hand and he will "value bet" pretty much anything if you check to him. Villain is pretty passive, though, and isn't likely to do much bluff-raising or to get aggressive with a weak top pair. I don't know if he is aware of my view of him and I am not sure what (if anything) he thinks of me. Let's assume he thinks I'm too aggressive and also probably thinks I am trying to push him around.
$2/$4 blinds Hand 1: Stacks are about $500 each. Villain just took a pot from me and had me covered by maybe $20. Villain completes his small blind on the button, I raise to $16 (standard) from the big blind with XX. Villain calls. Flop: 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I bet $30, Villain calls. Turn: 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I check, Villain bets $100, I push. 1) What hand(s) am I representing with my play? 2) What do you need to call me given the image I think he (you) has (have) of me? 3) What do you think Villain needs to call given my description of his play? Hand 2: Stacks: I have about $600 to Villain's $400. Villain completes his small blind, I raise to $16 with XX, Villain calls. Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I check, Villain bets $20 (this can be any pair or a flush draw; if it's a King or a ten, Villain is seeing a showdown), I call. Turn: 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I donk for $25... 1) Does it make sense for me to play anything this way, given my reads? 2) What do you do with a King or ten here? SpaceAce |

Re: Two heads-up hands with questions
1. I think you probably have an overpair or some sort of combo draw here. I don't think villian is calling here without 2 pr or better.
2.I would raise here if i had a K or a T because you have a draw |

In hand #1, I am certain Villain calls with QQ-AA and I really don't expect him to fold JJ or AT (but I am not really sure about those). Given that, what's the minimum hand you play the way I did this one? I did in fact have a draw in hand #2. I had a big draw, though, and was planning to push over a raise, anyway. I thought it was really obvious but I wanted to hear from people who couldn't see my hole cards. SpaceAce |

Re: Two heads-up hands with questions
i think villian limp calling preflop in hand 1 pretty much eliminates the possibility of an overpair
