Default standard JJ, or really passive?

live 6/12, hero is SB with JJ.

five limpers, hero completes, BB checks.

flop (7 sb) A77r

hero checks, five checks, button bets, hero folds...

2 questions: 1) raise preflop? this was an extremely passive table and a SB raise would not have folded anybody. is there still an equity advantage to raising?
2) can I c/r the button's bet on the flop?

I would raise pre flop, but am only betting out on a favourable flop, If there is one overcard i am chacking and see what happens,

The way it was played I would consider C/R the button and try to fold out the feild, this would need a read form you.

Leading into 6 players on an AQ6 flop, with JJ is not good

???
flop is A77r
could have best hand with these donks. IMO, bet/folding > check/folding

Sorry what i was meaning, is that after raising preflop, you dont have to lead to the flop.
