Default Club One - Fresno, CA

Anyone play Club One in Fresno? I've got to spend a few days in town and was wondering if it's any good.

Thanks in advance.

Edmond

I played there once while I was stuck in town on business. It's in a dirty area downtown, and the clientele is not exactly Friday night at the Belagio. You could easily end up being seated next to someone who really smells bad. The games were very loose, though.

I used to live in Fresno and played there several times. Not a bad club. The area is downtown and very dead, but it's not horrible inside. Tournament structure was horrible as I remember. You can also go to Table Mountain Casino... much smaller but nice drive.

"Club One is a fancy, upscale, huge card room that rivals the best Bay Area card rooms for elegance and spirit. Set right in the middle of the urban downtown, it occupies a significant portion of a city block. Its bright neon signs light up the night when the city starts to shut down; it's located more in a business district than a nightlife district, so foot traffic on the sidewalk dies in the evenings."

lol. Yes it's not bad, but this may be a bit much... It's a very large place so it appears empty at times when there really are many tables going. 'When the city shuts down...' downtown Fresno is never up really... just thought this is funny. I'm going this weekend actually though. Will give an update if there is any interest.

Dear Edmond,

If you enjoy playing Texas Hold'em, No Bust BlackJack, or Pai Gow, then Club One is the place to be in the Central Valley.

We offer free underground parking with elevator access directly to the Casino. Our customer service is second to none, and if it isn't then let me know

Hope you enjoy your stay in Fresno.

The Count

I don't thinks so. The sevice at Club One is adequate at best and the dealers are terrible. Club One has a monopoly on card tables in the city of Fresno. Therefore, they have no incentive to provide good service or competent dealers. Also, watch out for collusion amongst non-english speaking players (especiallly off duty dealers), it happens alot and the management could care less. If you have the time, you are better off at Table Mountain or Chuckchansi Gold.
