Re: On The Money on CNBC talking about internet poker
Very good piece. Dylan Radigan gave them a great forum to represent poker and was very willing to let them defend the skill of the game. Annie Duke was fabulous, she made important points and was very eloquent in doing so. I think this piece will be well received by the "average" American viewer.

Re: On The Money on CNBC talking about internet poker
I don't think you need to youtube it.
Lots of the CNBC segments (including from On The Money) are on their website at CNBC.com I believe. I know this because I watched the OTM segment about the legislation last week. So I'm guessing it should be up shortly. I agree that Annie REALLY carries herself well as does Mike sexton. And I don't think the PPA president guy is as bad at this stuff as many others seem to think. Annie is attractive but also looks rational, friendly, articulate (on other words, when she speaks about it she doesn't look like a horrible gambling degenerate). She's also extremely well-known even amongst non-poker players who have just occasionally seen it on TV. (one guy I know who doesn't know what 'check' means wanted me to track down Annie Duke and get her phone # when he found out I was going to the WSOP...I failed). Mike carries himself well and has somewhat of a classier appeal about him (again, doesn't come off like a gambling degenerate). Definitely a couple of the people to be doing the campaigning for this stuff. I think Raymer, Gordon, Lederer and Harman would also present the case extremely well on TV. Probably Brunson too. Hellmuth, Matusow and jaime Gold should all probably sit this one out. |

Re: On The Money on CNBC talking about internet poker
What everyone else has been saying is true, the Prez of PPA is not articulate at all.
Annie Duke did a very good job though. |

Re: On The Money on CNBC talking about internet poker
You won't even recognize it as "gambling" (if it happens).

Re: On The Money on CNBC talking about internet poker
(hopefully I misheard)
PPA prez blows... first they discuss how it is a game of skill and not gambling... then transition to asking about impacts of prohibition and PPA guy goes..."oh people love to gamble...people want to play poker..sites will pop up..." GREAT!!! ...moran |

Re: On The Money on CNBC talking about internet poker
what about the PPA idiot...They spent the whole episode about how poker is a game of skill and not chance then he says "Americans want to gamble."
EDIT: Sorry, I just saw I rehased climbers point. |
