I'm glad to see I pointed you in the right direction, although apparently I taught you to not move up and stay a nit just like me too. Hope all is well with the wife and kids!

See you in another 10 months...

Sweet post Marquis. Congrats on your success. Keep up the work. Don't change a thing. If it's not broken, it doesn't need fixing.

I have rarely played 6max. Perhaps this is the wakeup call.

Continued success on your next 100k.

Bruce

So these no. are wiked for the Blinds. But what are sustainable no. for FR under normal circumstances. (ie. a standard TAG player?)

Did you notice there were [b]2[b] of them?

In the average a 2/4 player is definitely significantly better player than a .5/1 player.

yea seriously Hielko... that's far from perfect

[/ QUOTE ]
It was perfect, except for the river card....

Just to add some reads to the hand:

MP1: total maniac, raising 80% off all hands preflop and bets/raises air on all steets and will cap all streets with any pair (Obviously TPTK is way ahead of his range).

MP3: A somewhat more normal LAG, but he is 3-betting MP1 very light, probably with his top 20% of hands. AQo >> top 20% of hands.

UTG: loose passive fish. Can't fold. (60/1/1 or something like that)

Where has 6max been all of my life? I've followed Benhehoes starting hand chart, played my normal game and been payed off like you wouldn't believe. Absolute 2-4 ring games are for nano baller ya'll.

marquis,

you're doing yourself a seroius disservice by not moving up.

If you care enough about your game to take it to the level that you have (ie, reading 2+2, reading a book, reading players from the blinds) then you'll have to make all of zero adjustments to move up into 2/4 land and win+whore at a much more profitable rate.

Really. you can still surf, watch porn, talk to your mom on the phone, and play poker at the same time at that level without having your winrate seriously affected. The degree to which it will be affected will immediately be offset by the reduction in rake and the increase in bonus clearing rate.

The things you like about poker will increase disproportionately to the things you dont like about poker.

you're holding yourself back right now, and you'll regret it eventually.

Marquis,
your obviously doing something right. I don't care if some folks think luck is thrown in. Even if you consider luck (which I don't consider to heavily for that number of hands) your winrate is very impressive. Please, share more of your knowledge on these forums. I for one am listening.

I have two questions. First, you say:

[ QUOTE ]
I don’t like to pay attention to everyone at my tables; I don’t like to take notes, and I don’t like to feel pressure.

[/ QUOTE ]

but in a following post you quote advice that helped you: "You need to pay very careful attention to what your opponents are doing in order to exploit their weaknesses. Some bluff too much, some go too far every time, some are too passive. You can't just play your cards because you will often have no idea where you stand."

So how much attention do you pay to your opponents?

Second, are those the only hands you play--just 13 total hands--or does that chart go farther?

What I meant was that I tend to rely more on the HUD than I probably should, and I don't necessarily pay attention to everyone. Sometimes when there are very aggressive players I'll play very close attention to their betting patterns. You better do that against very aggressive players or you might as well just get up and leave.

Those are the only hands that would fit on the screen. They're sorted by most to least profitable.
