Really good anonymous of foreign proxy

Can somebody point me to a really good proxy service? I want to route all my internet traffic through it so that my IP address is hidden. Preferably, the proxy would be outside the states. The proxy need not (and probably will not) be a free proxy.

I imagine that you want it to work with protocols other than just http? I also presume that you want one which is not widely known, and preferably your own private IP address at the foreign end?

It might be best to find a computer (a datacenter server or otherwise) outside of the now verboten states, and have something like Zebedee or another secure tunneling client / server system installed. Google ssh tunnel for more choices.

Your local computer's traffic could be fully encrypted and sent to the remote server and will look like web traffic or vpn traffic maybe to your ISP. The final destination of the packets will see your foreign server as the originator. This is extremely unlikely to draw the attention of either your ISP or the final destination.

You should note that many normal proxies will only work with unencrypted http (web) data. Many availible proxies are also frequently used by malicious individuals and hence lists are kept of them by security people. Even secure-tunnel.com (a paid secure tunneling stateside service) is monitored for by ebay, for example. Many sites monitor for two users with the same IP address as well.

I hope this helps. I would imagine that a market will be opening for exactly what you want shortly, given the soon to increase demand for it. Right now I can not think of a point-n-click solution, though there may be one already. Also, as an unfortunate sidenote, some of these services are widely used by pedos to avoid detection.
