20+2 A8 button ITM and questions on ITM play
Should i be pushing this insted of raising? i was probubly going to fold to the BB if he pushed. The SB is a bad player and could be doing this with 22+ (which is how he got his chips, two people went all in and he called with 22 the flop came AA2) A2+ probubly KJ+ maybe more.

If your gonna raise like that I think you have to fold to a reraise. You might as well have pushed if you were going to call the reraise.

Re: 20+2 A8 button ITM and questions on ITM play
You're right around the gray area with a hand like A8 to overpush (>10BB) from the button. The answer is: Pushing is fine. So is raising to 1000. I think you have to call the SB. You might be able to find a fold if the BB comes over the top. Definitely can find a fold if both go all-in. If you fold after a 1000 chip raise here, you're not out of it yet. Especially with how bad these guys play ITM.

Re: 20+2 A8 button ITM and questions on ITM play
so 1000 chip raises arn't bad when the blinds are this high and stacks are about even. I use the 1000 chip rais alot when its heads up and im not to a point i have to go AI. I'll do these till my opponent has about a third of my chips then its normaly all in or nothing.

As Curtains once said, "They fold enough." I push when my stack or their stack dictates that I do. Or, in certain bubble situations when you're the biggie, of course. It has nothing to do with the size of their stack in relation to mine. |

well at stars when they have a third of your stack and the blinds are 200/400 there is 850 in the pot and they only have like 3000 to your 9000. Any rais here and you are commited.

Push or raise is fine. However when you raise you should be thinking about whether or not to call a push before the raise not after.
