Default Re: NFL Week 6

I offer my input, but as a warning my unit is 5 dollars (I'm an obvious newb).

I took the falcons, jets, and bengals; points on all.

The falcons defense is more consistent than the redskins or that of the giants, plus Eli has really only had one mistake free game. Unlike washington I think atlanta will get him under pressure, just like the eagles did in their game (until the 4th quarter) and the seahawks did in theirs. The defense of the giants has had one good game, I will believe in it if and when they become consistent.

The jets are at home against miami for -2.5? To me just seems like such a typo. Joey harrington in his second start of the year on the road against pennington, I'll take the jets.

I hate to bet against tampa at home, but the bengals dropped a game to the patriots and are in a big fight over the division. I think they realize they have to come to play ever week now. If they play their explosive offensive game I can see this being a higher scoring match that they get the best of. Might take the over on this game too.

I also like the eagles matchup vs. the saints. The eagles are among the sacking leaders in the league, sheppard and dawkins looked healthy in the secondary so I see the blitzing to continue. Drew brees is a great qb but Mcnabb is just too strong. I'm waiting on this one though because I think I can get a better price on the eagles as the week goes on, maybe not. The more hype on reggie bush the more I like betting against the saints (don't get me wrong he's no bust, just still a rookie).

Anybody else liking Dallas -13? Coming off a dissappointing loss, playing at home versus a run of the mill Texan team. I'm expecting Dallas to explode in this one.

Grabbed them for 1.5 units at -3.5, -105. Would have preferred the -3 obviously, but I think it's still a decent play.

I also like Philly and the Jets. Dallas should cover but i don't think i like this strongly so probably won't be betting it. I'm also thinking Detroit are better than Buffalo and should never have lost on Sunday and i'm leaning towards taking the Giants at Atlanta.

I'm a little nervous about the Jets pick. They seem like such an obvious pick but I really do think that Miami will eventually turn their season around and at least end up being somewhere around a middle of the pack non-playoff team.

Agreed. Keep in mind, though, that the Jets got walloped last week. How do most teams that get walloped respond?

Miami have problems and Joey Harrington is not the answer. I see them finishing 4-12 at best.
