Yes, I am a geek, but I really enjoyed Shatner and Chad Everett in the sequel.

I just read this on IMDB about Airplane!

Captain Oveur's line to the little boy "Have you ever seen a grown man naked?" was originally "Have you ever sucked a grown man's cock?" which was dropped for obvious reasons.

This is one of those great movies where you hope people don't come along later and say, "Ah, I've seen so many just like it." When Airplane first came out, nothing like it had ever been done before and people were flat out astonished. It was surprising and incredibly funny. If you can see it with an open mind instead of looking at it as if it were a sequel to a whole lot of what you've already seen instead of the inspiration for it, you can give it the credit it deserves. Still very funny stuff.
