Default platform beds

my wife and i just got a sleepnumber bed. we put it on a cheep frame for now while we find a new king size bed frame. my wife is leaning towards a platform bed. she loves how they look. i agree that they look really cool. however my question for any of you who bought one is this:

do you regret buying the platform bed? my worry is that its too low to the ground. we are going to be dropping quite a bit on this bed so id hate to regret buying it.

my first choice is to get a sleigh type bed but im flexible on this. just dont want to feel like im sleeping on the floor.

ive seen a few platform type beds that have small legs under them. maybe this would solve the perceived problem of being too low?

If you are under 40 and don't have back problems, the bed being low to the ground shouldn't be an issue. Sweet dreams pal.

I like being low to the ground. It's cooler, temperature wise. Also it looks cool. Also you dont have to move a box spring around when you move.

Actually I dont have a platform bed, I just have a mattress on the floor. But I like it. I dont have sheets either.

Actually I sleep in the alley.

You should be fine. Do you plan on having any (or more) children?? If so, the low bed might be hard for her while pregnant.
