If you are at a bar...take a pool cue and tap it on your toes/foot. If you can't feel it you are too drunk to drive.

Didn't know this, pretty good info http://www.duiblog.com/2004/11/27#a55 [/ QUOTE ] "So when they tell the arrestee to blow into the machine’s mouthpiece, they’ll yell at him, "Keep breathing! Breathe harder! Harder!" As Professor Hlastala has found, this ensures that the breath captured by the machine will be from the bottom of the lungs, near the alveolar sacs, which will be richest in alcohol. With the higher alcohol concentration, the machine will give a higher -- but inaccurate -- reading." Interesting. I got breathalyzed once (18, at a house party, no driving involved) and definitely remember the policeman telling me I had to blow again since I didn't blow hard enough the first time. He told me to keep going until it felt like my head would explode, and at the time, I thought, "Boy, this thing sure needs a lot of air to work. What a piece of [censored]." |

I dont know about you guys but arent you concerned you might hurt somebody? Take a reaction test after you have had 2-3 beers and compare with no beer. Its scary.

Wow, you Americans are sure more relaxed about drink driving than us Brits. (though to be fair, your beer's weaker )
I personally never drink and drive (cos I always end up spilling it), but I have regularly driven while high on weed and once I was driving when I unexpectedly came up on an ecstasy tablet (which in retrospect was scary but was strangely hilarious at the time). |

No wonder all the "closest you have come to dieing" threads are full of stories about car accidents. Most of the people here seem to be the kind of people who cause those accidents. Idiots.

I like that the question is asking about being "too" drunk to drive. Because, you know, if you're just drunk, but not "too" drunk, then it's ok.
