Re: Bears 2006 Season Thread
I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Jaroun. "I don't want to be beat by the big play, we're only going to put 7 in the box." I wish I had heard that before kickoff, Thomas Jones would have been in my fantasy line-up.
The upside is we have found that the running game can step up if teams try and take away the pass. Which only makes this the scariest team ever. Still trying not to be giddy. The only small fear I have is maybe a team like the Eagles or Patriots. Short passes are easily completed against the Bears and you can chip and chop down the field if you are very patient, don't mind getting killed everytime you complete a pass and manage not to make a mistake that gets picked off. I'm also pretty sure that you can confuse the hell out of Grossman with a very complicated blitz package. Which Minnesota kind of did. Then it's just a question of how much did he learn from that game. Myturn's Cardinals up next. I wonder if Leinart comes in with confidence off of that pre-season game? That could make things fun when he is running for his life. |

[/ QUOTE ] The Eagles are basically awful at short passes other than screens to Westbrook. Their recievers drop too many balls, in part because McNabb is scattershot and throws the ball very hard. |
