PPL Why no Hellmuth?
While Phil's NLHE cash game skills might be open to debate, I do not think anyone can seriously contend he is not in the top 64 of NLHE tournament players. He also has a solid following and high name recognition.
So, why isn't he in the PPL? |

Re: PPL Why no Hellmuth?
In the words of Oliver Tse, I guess he hasn't "mastered the art of playing the poker game behind the poker game". Or he may have decided not to take part. I'm sure we'll get some sort of answer to that question in due time.
Edit: I should have looked over at FCP first: Here's a quote from Daniel himself (with the reason why Allen Cunningham and Erick Lindgren weren't listed) [ QUOTE ] Erick and Allen were both #1 picks but opted out. They decided that weren't able to commit to the league so they respectfully declined. Hellmuth, well, when he asked for a private jet and a gazillion extra dollars a day, the poker world moved on. He will regret his decision. [/ QUOTE ] Daniel's post |
