Default 25NL Is this blind steal just too much?

Villain limps all the time, and I have seen him float me on the flop before. Is this hand justified given this read?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (4 handed) internettexasholdem.com

UTG ($8.45)
Button ($26.75)
SB ($23.25)
Hero ($50.63)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
1 fold, Button calls $0.25, 1 fold, Hero raises to $1, Button calls $1.

Flop: ($2.60) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $2, Button calls $2.

Turn: ($6.60) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $4

Turn is a semi-bluff since I'm drawing to the nuts; I fold to any raise, and obviously I check/fold a missed river. Is this second barrel a profitable play against a frequent floater?

It is fine, but when you say you have seen him float before, do you know that he was actually calling on the flop with very little and was going to bet you off your hand on the turn? Or did he just call a few of your cbets and you didn't find out his hand?

A check raise would be decent here too. You could quite possibly get him off of an A if you do that.

No, I don't like it. I'll try this move with either stronger or weaker hands, but not K4o.

I wouldn't raise K4o from the BB here, there is no need to in these stakes, it's just going to put you in tougher spots.

Right, and the second advantage of a c-r is he might check behind and give me a very helpful free river. The only problem is that I don't usually check-raise for value, so it would look fishy (as do most check-raises at 25NL). I like the concept, but I can't help but wonder if a c-r is just too tricky for this level of game.

This is horrible unless he limp-folds all the time.

Preflop or postflop?

I assume you are talking about preflop, but I don't think it is that bad if he is timid postflop and folds to cbets often.

He's been seen to float. And building a pot OOP with K4o is still a loosing move. Why not check and then bet the flop regardless, hmm?

I think his pf calling range is everything he limps, and he folds to a cbet on a missed flop most of the time. Probably folds bottom pair here as well if his kicker is a J or something.

You are right, I keep going back between this being a blind battle and remembering that the button is the main villain.

Betting in the BB with K4o against a button limper can't be +EV unless you know the button very very well.
