[ QUOTE ]

The only good starter thats left is Zito and the lineup is laughable. The Mets bullpen could control the A's lineup even if our starters all left in the 4th.

[/ QUOTE ]

The A's have 5 starters who would be at least the 2nd best starter in the current Mets rotation.

*Edit: Sorry for the hijack. GO Tigers!

Bonderman has thrown 30 pitches through 4 innings. That is just reflective of a pathetic approach on the Yankees side, especially for a team that usually ranks near the top in pitches seen per at bat.

I'm referring to the fact that you seem totally shocked that a team might beat a better team in a 5 game series.

Well congrats to the Tiger fans and goodluck vs. the As...I have no faith in the Yanks to comback or even make a game of this..they look like their about to fall asleep

[/ QUOTE ]

That's a good little yankee fan there. I don't see why they even bother playing the last five innings.

[/ QUOTE ]

you obviously arent watching the game

we have Corey Lidle pitching..are in a 4 run hole..and have yet to even get a hit. The team looks lifeless...much like they did last year vs. the Angels and in Game 7 vs. the Sox.

The yanks are back in playoff choke mode...this isn't 1998,2000 etc...we don't pull miracle comebacks in the playoffs any more

Big Deal, all 5 except for Zito are exactly the same. In the layoffs youd rather 2 insanely awesome starters and 3 crappy ones. So our rotation sucks, Chad Bradford can some in in the 4th innign and retire Oakland A's hitters. After the met lineup wears down Oakland starters will they be able to do the same? Doubtful. Anyway I'm not gettign into this agrument now because....

1) The Yankees havent lost yet
2) The Mets aren't NL Champs yet
3) The A's aren't AL Champs yet, and are unlikely to be.

.... IT was more a hypothetical dream. The Mets in my mind would be a favorite over the A's, if you disagree you are wrong because I am always right.

I'm not. I always yell at people for saying Team X will DEFINATELY beat team Y. I'm shocked that currently 3 of 4 dogs are beating better teams. This right now looks like the most upside down division series ever, and baseball has had it for over 10 years now.

I was going to save my gloating until the Tigers officially won, but I'm just so happy when the Yankees are losing.

Go Tigers, then go A's!
