LC: Skill level jump and becoming \"pro\"
I'm a SnG grinder, who moved up to $50+5 couple months ago.
I currently 3-table, and I think I'll be able to handle 5-tables eventually.. I believe that would be my max. My question is this. I'm currently a college student, and I fully intend to graduate. However, if I do decide to go "SnG pro" few years from now on - is this achievable at $50+5 level? I've heard of $50+5 pros, but if I can't do more than 5-tabling, would I be able to make an acceptable living? I'm currently averaging 20% ROI 3-tabling at $50+5, and already experienced very heavy swings. I believe a comfortable living could be made at 100+9. Am I expecting a big jump in skill from $50+5 to $100+9? I would like to hear some comments from SnG pros. Thanks. |

Re: LC: Skill level jump and becoming \"pro\"
I'm not going pro right now. Just an option for a future.. it's more about "is $50+5 SnG pro'ing doable?" thing. Also, I'm in Canada.

Re: LC: Skill level jump and becoming \"pro\"
20% ROI at the 55:s is pretty awesome. What is your sample size here? I live off playing the 55:s at the moment. I play 4 tables of speed tourneys consecutively. Dno what my ROI is really, but i guess it's around 10%, that makes me more than 40$/h which is more than enough for me to live off even playing half time.
Also, if you don't have the mathematical skills to calculate your expected earning and then based on that decide if you can live off it or not. I would recommend not going pro. So basically, if you have to ask the question, don't do it. |

Re: LC: Skill level jump and becoming \"pro\"
I play PS regular SnG's, and yes I can calculate expected earnings. Just wanted to know if there were any actual $50+5 SnG pro's.. and hear about their actual, not estimated, experience.
do you play as many as you can, or just put in fixed amount of hours everyday? |
