Where can I rub elbows in LV??
OK. So at which casino and at what level do I need to be playing at to get dealt in with celebs (poker, sports, and/or hollywood types)?? I'll be in Vegas next weekend and I doubt I'm going to be sitting next to anyone like that at Harrahs. And although making money is priority #1, I know I'll be at a crap table a lot too...so if I'm going to gamble it up, why not having a memorable story (non-bad beat) from the poker table.
(P.S. Is there any PLO in LV these days??) |

Re: Where can I rub elbows in LV??
Bellagio is 'bout the only sure-fire place to run into name-brand players. And if you have to ask what the limits are, you can't afford to play.
But you can run into pros and celebs almost anywhere. Bellagio, Wynn, Venetian, Palms, MGM, Caesars, and Mirage may be the most likely places to find pros and celebs playing <= NL2/5 or <=20/40. But I've run into bracelet holders and TV faces at Sahara's $42 tourneys--you just never know, but it's a relatively rare thing. And just because you mentioned Harrah's... William Hung was playing NL1/2 there about a month ago. What passes for "celeb" has to be adjusted a bit in Harrah's case, but hey... we all know the guy, so he is a celeb and he was there. |

If your trip to Vegas is for this weekend, check out the Venetian on the 7th and see the post below about the PPL bounty tournament.

The Venetian will fill up, I\'ll play where I can\'t afford to
Trust me when I tell you I have no business playing at a crap table with a greenie as the minimum pass line bet. HOWEVER, if you tell me that if I buy in for $500 I'll get to roll the dice next to Charles Barkley, The Sports Guy (ESPN Page 2), or Pam Anderson.....I'm in there and hoping I make a few passes.
Besides...I'd actually play smarter when over my head. I figure Bellagio is my best chance or maybe given the Venetian tourney I could try side games there that night?? |

[/ QUOTE ] Thats funny....there is another actor from Oz (Kirk Acevedo) who plays at the Borgata with some frequency. I've seen him in at least three tournaments I have played in and he made the final table in one of the early events at last month's Poker Open. |
