If you want a short term thing, the Paradise Bay Club (it is located right behind the Hard Rock) is closing down in February.
I don't know their pricing scheme, but I do know that they have a lot of units available, and it is close to the strip.
It is pretty nice, a MTTer lives there with no complaints.

One other thing to consider when deciding to use moving company vs do-it-yourself - less of your stuff will take a walk if you do it yourself.

TT-

I think you can get a place sigh unseen and like it. the complex i am moving into does short term leases and i think you would like it as its not cookie cutter like the rest of the complexes.

Wow.. thats surprising, everything is cookie cutter in Vegas right now, they are just developing realy creative properties for the first time now Send me a link via PM please.

TT, it sounds like we have a similar marble table top. Anyway ... when I moved I had the companies all address some special items I wanted moved. The company I went with built a particle board container for the marble table top. I supplied some old bed sheets, they wrap the table, place it in the container and nail it shut. I've kept the container as it is likely I will be moving again. It rocks, there was never any worries about damage. Depending on whether or not you move directly into a place - be prepared with some extra cash and to negotiate with the guys moving your stuff. If it is going into storage or something temp where you don't want to unpack - you'll want to keep some of your more "precious" stuff wrapped which will mean buying the moving blankets off the movers. I think I payed them like $25 bucks for 5 of them. It's a good deal for them because they get new for less and a good deal for you because your stuff stays wrapped (by professionals) and protected. Strange topic for a poker forum, but hope this helps - and good luck!

I'll pin my question in here.

What are the logistics of living in vegas without a car, I know their are topics about this but yet to see a definitive answer.

Is commuting from Henderson to the strip via cab each day a total waste of money? If so, are their any complexes within walking distance to either bellagio or the wynn which are safe (I wouldn't carry alot of cash, most likely leaving it in deposit box at casino)

Thanks.

the strip is basically surrounded on all sides by scummy neighborhoods.

except the south side. If you wished to purchase a condo to the south and the the bus up the strip, that would work.

A cab from Henderson would quickly exceed the cost of monthly car payments. Just get a $1500 beater or go see the Chopper for low, easy payments.

Mine is in white. A classic Saarinen surf board table, as seen in 2001 A Space Odyssey.

I collected, and someday hope to continue, mid century modern furniture and related replicas when the originals are way too expensive to consider. The table is a replica, originals in bad shape start at 10k, WAY too much for a dining table.
