I would not have thought about pushing that deep w/ 55 or JT even knowing he was on a steal. So I was asking you to elaborate. [/ QUOTE ] I thought your tone was sarcastic and I was responding. The raise is from late position, so villain probably doesn't ahve a big hand. I would usually push with 55, JTs, or KQo as a semibluff, figuring villain folds a lot, and I have about a 40% chance to win with these hands if called. I make this kind of play a lot, as do some other players. Not everyone plays that way. Sometimes pushing is better than flat calling, even if it appears reckless.

call. AQs is the worst scenario here; a much better scenario is that he has QsQ or something worse on a steal attempt with an A and three spades on the board.
