Are these a little earlier in the week than normal?

I see potential for the Dallas line to move to +3, which would take out a good deal of the value of including this in the Wong teaser at this time... I'd probably urge people to wait to later in the week to place this teaser: worst case scenario the line does move to +3 and you elect to place anyways and get the line moved to +9.

Hm, well, I usually try to place them ASAP, but I get busy sometimes. Since Dallas was still -110, I decided to just go ahead and bet them basic strategy. I wouldn;t be surprised, though, if the line went the other way too as an overreaction to Phila stomping GB, but whatever, it's a perfect Wong, so there it is.

This isn't accurate. If you wong an incorrect line, it's not +EV if it moves against you.

Hey guys, first year for me to start looking at teasers. Is a "BS teaser" the same as a Wong teaser? Keep seeing that term over at Fezzik's place. Thanks.

I took:

Carolina -2
Dallas +8.5 (6 point tease)
3 units

NE -2.5
Carolina -1 (7 point tease)
3 units

And for some reason, I decided I loved this next play and upped it to 4 units.

NE -2.5
Baltimore +11 (7 point tease)

Yes, BS is short for Basic Strategy. A basic strategy teaser is the same thing as a Wong teaser.

This info is in the Forum FAQ, but not the fact that basic strategy is sometimes abbreviated as BS. I'll fix that...

Thremp is correct. For example, my early recommendation of the Wong Tease of Atlanta/Seattle last week. When SA was announced out on Monday and the line jumped to Seattle +3.5, my earlier-placed Wong Teaser lost its value and became a -EV play.

Meh. I don;t see the line move you guys do, but again, that falls under "handicapping', which I have little interest in doing. As I said, if when I place wagers, it's a wongable game, I wong it, no questions asked. Only time I don't is if I already have the other side.

Thats terrible thinking Daliman. Its not handicapping, its life. Question marks don't practice and are scratched. QB fathers passes away etc. A great example was last week. Lines also sharpen through the week. Wong teasers are +EV at true lines which is usually the Pinny price right before game time. 99% of games aren't gonna move through a key number over night or even the day of. You can Wong all of these Sat. evening and its much better and +EV compared to what you're doing.

Now on the other hand, if you see the line moving the other way (i.e. you see money coming in on Dallas, there's been some injury news there, etc) then you certainly would want to grab this earlier than later.

Not trying to be overly critical. Just saying, you've been highly succesful with these and I don't want to see you give up some potential edge by starting to grab lines too early when there's a trend of the line heading the wrong direction...
