Frist said that he has studied the Taliban platform and admired many of their positions. He liked the Burka requirement for women in public, the mandatory religious training, the prohibitions on drinking and gambling, and the death penalty for adulterous women. He was however extremely troubled with the Taliban marginal tax rates. If they were a few points lower he would consider making a political donation from his substantial personal inherited wealth.

this has been a pretty happy week for me -

pretty soon these guys are gonna run outta bullets if they keep shooting themselves in the feet - yeesh.

Frist is being a pragmatist in this. You folks are upset (and possibly feeling betrayed by your Grand Old Party) for attacking online gambling, but not everything Frist says or does is nonsense.
