Re: true poker ceo quote
That is his self-serving interpretation of the statute, and it is wrong. I hope it doesn't get him extradited to the U.S. and imprisoned.

Re: true poker ceo quote
Not sure where the quote came from, but it sounds right.
There is speculation about PokerStars' plans because they have the right to run their business as they think is best and have a very large European market. They have been VERY smart guys since 2001. I think they could allow it, would like them to do so and would love for them to litigate the Act's coverage issue, but what they MAY do is entirely up to them. |

Re: true poker ceo quote
Actually, it's not. There's absolutely nothing in the act that makes online poker any more illegal than it was before.

Re: true poker ceo quote
He won't get extradited. He just better not change planes at a U.S. airport anytime in the near future.
I agree I think he's wrong. I hope I'M wrong, but so far I can't see that I am. |

Re: true poker ceo quote
[ QUOTE ]
Thanks for the kind words. [/ QUOTE ] True Poker - Enjoy your windfall for taking leadership on staying around. You have good lawyers that have interpretted this legislation right, and they have made you 1000 times more money than you pay them for this one. Poker Stars is quiet now because they are starting to see the logic. Party's move was motivated purely from a buy-out angle. Leadership is starting to reign with you all, Absolute, BoDog, FT, etc. Thanks again for your leadership, I will sign up tonight in gratitude. |
