Default Looking for a coach

I'm a long time SNG player, occasional NL cash player. I've had mixed results over a very small sample size, and mixed results playing on the occasional trip to Vegas. Since I love playing live, and mostly live SNGs have horrible structures, I need to up my NL cash game.

I like studying, have most of the standard poker books, learn fast, blah blah blah. Mostly I just need someone that can help me lock onto the differences between SNGs and cash. I'm open to whatever kind of arrangement makes the most sense. And I'll definitely research you before we move forward, so if you are new or not well respected on these forums it's probably not worth responding.

Thanks!

you might want to add what limits you play, what your kindve looking for (sweat, hh review, whatever). specify a bit further, your pay rates, etc.

Where in MN are you from? I'm living there now. Also AOL is your friend- have you a s/n? It makes talking about hands and sweating others a lot easier, which is a great way to learn.

Well, what little I've played online has been 25NL because I can't figure a reason to risk more while learning. Live of course it's been higher, 200NL mostly since that's what casinos spread.

I don't know what I'm looking for - I'm new to cash games so I don't know what the usual arrangements are. Likewise on the rates; I'm looking for someone to tell me.

I think the most important thing I am looking to gain is the theory/approach to various types of hands. Maybe looking over the hand histories of a decent player would be a good approach.

i'm looking to coach people right now.

currently my deal is eithe 25% of PT stats or $100/month, whichever is more. for that i do 1 sweat session and watch + review 1 video session that you make each week (since i'm too lazy to read though HHs)

You should consider participating in the SSNL and uNL session reviews. You will benefit more than you think.

Agreed! This helped my short handed limit game a lot. So much that I moved here. Seriously though, peer reviews are very valuable.

lol this is probably a good time to advertise that i'm offering to coach people.

i have experience at full ring as high as $200NL and have played a lot of 6max as high as $400NL.

not sure what i'd want to charge but i am a long-term winner and play an 18/15/4 style.

holla

I've helped a few players in the past. I did HH review, sweat, and stuff like that.
