Default PartyPoker support responds about cashouts

Dear wezvidz,

When or if the legislation is passed into law, the company will cease to accept all wagers or deposits for the purpose of wagers from US customers. US customers will continue to be able to access their accounts and our play for free sites and we will be considering options to offer new services and products to our US customer community. The company maintains access to cash sufficient to fulfill any and all cash out requests.

For more information on deposits or cash outs, please refer to the following link

http://www.pay-pro.com/crd_faq/en/deposit_options.html

If you have any other queries, please write to us and we will be glad to assist you.

that's actually somewhat interesting because it leaves open accepting deposits for other "purposes"

Not that it's all that useful, but I wonder about using your PartyPoints.

Since they are not actual $, can we still use them after the ban to play in tournaments?

(Or should I just go now and buy a bunch of Ipods?)

Party had better have the cash ready to go. Unlike a normal business, they should have the players' accounts wholly separate. Their short term revenue loss puts them at high risk for bankruptcy. Would the players' accounts be held up in a bankruptcy? How would the players claim their assets? Interplead to the english courts?

Default Here\'s the response I got

With regard to your query I would like to inform you that if the Anti-Gambling bill is passed I can assure you that the available funds in your PartyAccount balance will be transferred back to you.

We have no formal statement at this time, but the board and management are currently reviewing the details of the legislation that passed the Senate. We will provide further comments shortly.

Our sites and our services remain operational as usual.

Well, this looks like good news. I'm already cashed out, but if I still have a few days left, I might put some back in...

Those $1,000 hats look mighty expensive at first glance, but they come with 995 free poker chips.
