Jeez, is there still some debate about the possibility of a dishonest proposition for the online poker player?
Come on please. Anyone who does not think that the deck can be rigged is living in an adolescent's dream world, or just being intellectually dishonest. And I'm not pointing to proof at any particular site at any particular instance - but it can be and most likely is. Any thinking human being can figure this out. The question always is asked " why would the site want to rig a game?" Well gee whiz Pee Wee, maybe they would rig it so the good players don't take the money from the bad players, because broke players = less rake. The same reason card rooms are such a small percentage of floor space at casinos; good poker players extract the money from the poor ones and leave with it, bad for buisness.
Here's another loaded question for y'all:
Is there anyone who doubts that criminal elements have their hands on some of this industry, someplace, somewhere?
Do you also believe that Little Sisters of the Poor built Las Vegas??
Regulation of online poker would be a good thing IMO.

If you accept the propostion that people need the government to protect them from making stupid decisions about how they spend their money, then the B&M cardrooms and casinos need to be banned, too. Of course, no matter what the government can do, there will always be ways for fools to be separated from their money.

What makes me laugh is that you believe online poker is "rigged."

I layed down kings and aces twice last week to a straight...maybe you should have learned the same level of control and you would have made more than 4 figures playing online pokah.

Starting hands are just that... starting hands.. gosh.

Land of the free my arse.

I know people have pride in their country, but how Americans can keep talking about being in the best country in the world is beyond me. You may have democracy in your presidency, but the Government is much more controlling than people like to think. At times, your Government is nearly as bad as some of the East.

As for religon, it does my head in. My views do not alter or annoy anyone else, yet those in favour of religon have to change what others are doing (abortion, gambling etc). Thankfully religon isn't quite so big in the UK, although the growing asian population is trying to impose itself.

Mr Frist, I hope you get shot in the head.

Hey, good for you.
What are you saying then, that it can't be rigged?
