I have no idea how reputable this site is, but they are reporting that PokerStars will also be leaving the US market.

Yeah I know, and Lee Jones posted in the Legislation forum that they hadn't made a decision yet. Though the fact that they aren't sure is definitely scarey.

They will stop U.S. residents from playing at all. It's not just depositing. They have stated that as soon as the Prez signs the bill into law they will ban U.S. residents. Looks like 2 weeks, max.

Well this is one of the most surreal moments in my life. i am sitting here and I am supposed to be writing a 10 page paper for law school but I cant. I just keep staring at the screen and wondering... I finally got to the point where I could make some decent coin and bam! I know this is the case for a lot of you, granted many of us have been able to capitalize more than others. But [censored] I made about 30k this year thats it, really not alot of money. Especially compared to how much I have positioned my self to make. I finally got within a few dollars of that mythical $100/hr but it looks like it is for naught. I am happy that I decided to go to law school but dam man I am 26 and married. I really do not want to be dirt poor for the next three years. I was really bad with money in my early twenties and managed to really put myself in a bad spot financially. I still have alot of student loan debt but other than that I was getting dam close to getting debt free. AHHHH so [censored] close. I just had a $9000 personal loan and I would have been out. i actually could of started saving to buy a house. I just needed another year and I really would of been ok. Would of had a house been living debt free and been a year away from my law degree. But with this now man, jeeze I still have debt and now no income. My wife makes 32000 a year! Thats not enough to live off of. I am really stressed and sad right now. Thanks for letting me rant. It feels nice to just let out a very selfserving statement you know. I know alot of people are in a lot worse shape then me but I still feel like I am stuck to a sole of a shoe.

Is there any urgency in withdrawing funds? That is: once we've been cutoff from playing, will we still be able to cash out? Or, do we need to cash out before enforcement starts?

Nice post, you pretty much summed up how everyone is feeling. Although it may be to different degrees, it's all relative.

I'm very sad and depressed. I just announced on the forum that my wife is having a baby. I can't begin to tell you how much this is going to hurt my family monetarily. It was the perfect supplemental income for me, I will be lost without online poker.
