Sorry, but being from Michigan and watching a whole helluvalot of Tigers' games, they have ZERO chance of beating the Yankees.

mentality like this is exactly why you can get a price like +278 on them. easy take IMO.

this line equates to the yankees being a 5-3 favorite on a neutral field IN EVERY GAME. in other words, if the yankees are truly a 101-61 team, and the tigers 81-81, +278 is a fair line. if you assume the tigers are merely a 90-win team, the yankees need 110-win talent.

I think this whole "late season collapse" thing's a little bit overrated. They knew they were in the playoffs, so they let down a little bit. St. Louis did the same thing, and then they started winning again when they had to. Honestly, the idea that the Yankees would be more than a 2-1 favorite over a team that won two games less than them just seems crazy to me.

Head to head the yankees handled the tigers with ease this season Im thinking.. The yankees are coming into the post season brimming with confidence and playing at home. Detroit comes stumbling in. Of course theres some built in Yankee/Public fade in this line, but if I had to play, I'd be with the Yanks.

I also like the Dodgers in the NL.. seems to me like the wheels kinda falling off for the Mets down the stretch what with bumps and bruises etc.

GL to all

There's no way the Tigers let up. If they only won ONE game against the Royals, the would have home field against the A's instead of going to New York. With Rogers, Bonderman, and Robertson going into the playoffs looking shaky, I don't see Detroit doing much. The Yankees ARE 20 games more talented the Detroit, especially with Matsui and Sheffield returning.

Interesting series price moves on Pinny (last one current):
NY (-300, -308, -310)
Twins (-169, -167, -165)
Padres (-151, -152, -165)
Mets (-154, -162, -157)

The Cards sure look like they will be getting a good value

Padres opened at -135 not -151.

Cards look to be a good value with the obvious value on Detroit.

BTW Mr. 33 flawed logic like clutch hitting makes me gag.

If the Yankees played with the lineup they have now the entire season they win 110 games.

For god-sakes Cano is batting .341 and will be hitting 9th.

I honestly believed that the Yanks would be somewhere around -400 to win the series. The whole +278 has value because of blah, blah, blah doesn't really mean a whole lot here. Could someone explain to me how the Tigers even have a chance? They choked against the Royals, the GD ROYALS (who I have to give credit for)!!

Maybe I'm mistaken but a -215 or so favorite in EVERY game is what'd it take to win 110.

Unrealistic. Their line-up is good. Pitching is solid and thats why they're a big favorite, but good pitchers can get lift up and lose to scrubs ([censored] you Carmona).

The Yankees just lost 2 games in a row. ZOMG.

Mr. 33, do you want action on -400. I assume you have like half your roll wagered on the Yankees to win the series at +150 if thats the case.
