Trip report: losing your cell phone in Singapore TLDR

So at 6AM yesterday Sing time, I'm having a lost in translation moment. So I venture out, looking for booze. Sketchy call, given that I woulda blown easily .18 BAC had I had access to the technology.

Flash forward 9 hours later to after a really brilliant curry and a desparately needed nap. I'm looking around for my [censored] cell phone. In Sing, they say "hand phone". Nowhere to be seen.

So I pass out, then wake up, then try to call my buddy for tonight's muster. As part of my "where the [censored] am I?" thing, I log into my POP mail account. This is the funny part...

There's two e-mails from my dad.
Note 1:"Did you get your phone?"
Note 2:"Someone called me today and said they found your cell phone in a taxi, so they auto-dialed me, and then said they'd bring it to your hotel."

Summary:
I lost my [censored] cell in a cab in Singapore, someone found it, and called my dad with it. NH sir.

Needless to say, I have no cell phone. LOL.
