[/ QUOTE ] they pretty much have to look after their careers there its obviously passing, their votes dont have any real effect. and voting against the port bill is just cannon fodder for their opponents in their elections ("ZOMG 380 VOTED YES TO PROTECT ") |

Yeah, they have to vote for it if they want to still have a career, that's part of the sleaziness of this tactic on the part of Frist (dem's use it too when it suits them, though).
Vote no, and the bill still passes. But at campaign time your opponent gets to say that you voted against increasing the security of our ports. Sucks [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] |
