i'm surprised there is not more discussion on the preflop play. given this lineup, A4s can't beat anything. Other than a 2-flush, what are you trying to flop?

yes, that part i did misread. i didn't think there was a straight out there. now that there is, it's a call for the reasons you stated. w/o that though (aka, no straight possible), id still 3 bet b/c you get called almost 100% of the time from the 2pair hand hero has here and will be compensated by that the times you lose the loose bad player w/ a 3 bet.

the straight out there though is clearly crucial b/c now you may even get raised again and you're doa in a big pot now.
