Default Re: µHappy Weekend Thread II: A whole new world

1/2 NL live (which is basically micro for live games)

6 handed.
Hero: $260
Villain1: $300
Maniac: $400

Villain1 is LAG and donkish. I have a pretty good handle on his play. Maniac is exactly that, and a super donkey. Earlier he raised a bet on the flop and then called a big 3bet AI with a naked flushdraw.

Hero is UTG with 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Hero limps, 1 limp, 1 fold, Maniac(Button) limps, SB folds, Villain1(BB) raises to $20, Hero calls $20, Maniac calls and rest fold.

I almost have direct implied odds to call Villain1 plus maniac had commented that this would probably be his last hand so I know he's not going anywhere. He's not very aggro preflop either, just likes to see a lot of flops and take them too far if he hits a piece.

Flop($70): 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3 players

Bingo! Just have to worry about Villain1 having KK/TT, but his pfr-range is huge so it's not a big worry.

Villain1 bets $30, Hero raises to $100, Maniac pushes for about $300 more, Villain1 folds, Hero calls.

When maniac pushes I start gnawing my nails 'cause he invariably has the flush draw and might even have an inside straight to go with it. I pray for a safe Turn+River

Turn($580): 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

River($580): 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Maniac turns over K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and MHIG

Villain1 showed that he folded Jacks so Maniac was drawing extremly thin (runner runner straight, runner runner flush that doesn't pair the board or runner runner Kings/King-Jack with 2 J's dead).

I know we frown on slowplaying, but there aren't any draws I'm scared of on the turn, and against this particular villain I felt that I wasn't going to get his money unless he pushed it in himself.

A little bit of defense/explanation on this one. This guy had been playing back on anyone that bet/raised on the flop, and showing huge overbets with cards like 53o with no pair no draw. Normally I fold without hesitation to bets like this, but I really thought he had something more like QJo and was trying to push me off my hand.

I went on a really sick heater sometime after midnight last night. I was getting really good cards, as well as really good fish willing to put it all in with T high I think that at one point, I had over 2 buy-ins at 3 tables. Overall, I won 4 buy-ins in about 650 hands. Sustainable?

I haven't won a pot this big since I got AA all in preflop with 4 other players. (still not sure how that happened)

I should've bet more on the river but I wasn't sure if MP1 would call more.

MP2: $23
MP3: $11.40

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is UTG with 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Results:
Final pot: $51.85
SB has Jd Qs (straight, ace high)
BB Qh 6c (two pair, queens and sixes)
Hero has 4s 5s (flush, queen high)
MP1 has Jc 9c (straight, ace high)

Hero wins pot, $51.85 with flush, queen high.

EDIT: LOL one orbit later, I stack MP1 with the AA and the nut flush vs his top pair. TY table image!

Very passive table, and I want to see some flops. Multi-tabling and not taking care of stack maintenance cost me some money.

HERO wins $144.65, CO+1 wins $5.40.

Nice, was a good spot for suited (semi) connectors with so many people in the pot. I expected UTG+1 and CO+1 to have something better than a flush draw, like KK, AA at least. Oh well I'm not complaining
I'd have been pissed off if the river was 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] though.
