Default What Day Will Astros Take Over NLC?

It's obviously going to happen; it's just a question of when. What day will the Houston Astros permanently overtake STL for the NL Central? Just how many games will it take for them to smash through the playoff to their inevitable World Series victory?

Wow, this is an impressive comeback by the Astros, choke by Cardinals. What is it with the Astros and the second half of seasons?

Tonight?

Clemens.....Weaver....hmmm. I believe Weaver is facing Capuano, too. And I think Sheets is going Saturday for MIL.

The Astros should miss Hudson, but might hit Smoltz.

I feel for the 'Stros if they have either .5 up or down on Monday, because the Giants will be sending out their B team for the make-up game.

I think the stros are 90% to get in if they win 2 out of 3, and have a decent chance to get in even with no playoff if they win just one more game. With the 7-14 Weaver coming out to the hill, today seems as good as any.

If you win 1 of the last 3 as the Astros, you will be in a playoff with at least the Reds. Actually, I think StL will pull 2/4 of their remaining out, so you had better win at least 2 of 3 if you are Houston.

We may just sign kids from a local playground to one-day contracts.

Astros will be in first place tonight. Frankly I woulden't be surprised if St.Louis gets swept.
