CNN.com Priorities?
Breaking News Headline at the top was (at 11am, today)
"A shooting has taken place at a school in Cazenovia, Wisconsin, outside the town of Limerich, the Sauk County Sheriff's Department tells CNN." It was only up for five minutes when they replaced it with "The Associated Press reports reality TV star Anna Nicole Smith exchanged vows with boyfriend Howard K. Stern on a boat near Nassau, but the ceremony is "not legally binding," her attorney Michael Scott said." Add in the fact that the top stories are now more and more likely to be videos and more and more likely to be concerning grannies beating up muggers, cats in trees, and giant food/body parts/etc. I'm sticking with NY Times and BBC World from now on. |

Re: CNN.com Priorities?
Was anyone else watching the Snow press conference (getting blasted by the corps) on CNN only to go to "Breaking News" of the newest Al-Zawahari (sp?) tape?
I don't get it... and then they went to more breaking news of some other random thing... I was wondering when the squirrel on waterskis bit was coming. |

Re: CNN.com Priorities?
Why do we need to hear about school shootings? Maybe if they didn't get much publicity people wouldn't be as likely to shoot up schools.
I hope I'm never too much of a snob to resort to BBC World for my news. |
