Did I play this too soft? Two pair on a scary board
Good live 20 game. I’m new to the game and there are a lot of players I don’t know. Button and I have played a lot. He is TAG. His range here is pretty tight. AJs+, AQ+ TT+
Two limpers to me in MP and I limp with Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. CO limps, button raises, BB and limpers call. Flop Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Checked to button who bets. BB, one limper and I all call. Turn is a small diamond [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Limper now leads. I call, button calls. I consider raising but getting three bet by the button would suck. Did I play this way too slow? The river way easy! |

I'd raise the turn unless I thought limper had a straight he was getting cute with

I'd raise the turn and hope button folds AJ type hands. It'd also be nice to get him to stick in the 2 BB with AA/KK/AQ.

I'd raise this preflop. Does nobody else?

"I'd raise this preflop. Does nobody else?"
Easy raise live, IMO, with possible exception if the first limper is extremely tight. -Michael |

Re: Did I play this too soft? Two pair on a scary board
raise the turn and muck it if button or limper 3 bets. bet a complete blank river and check/call any dangerous cards, probably fold if the 4th card for the straight comes out

I'd raise this preflop. Does nobody else? [/ QUOTE ] yes. No love for checkraising the flop? On the turn, I would raise it here. |

Re: Did I play this too soft? Two pair on a scary board
I like the checkraise on the flop. Better to get 3-bet on the small street with the possibility that the button either checks, and you can take one off for free on the flop, or he bet's the turn and you can just call.

I raise preflop. c/r the flop as played and play poker from there.
