Strategy for SNGs - a lot of players left after several levels
Assume stacks are fairly even and has around 10BBs.
Is it my fault for not spotting that the table is this tight and taking advantage by loosening up earlier? But, if you find yourself in this situation, what do you find works best? Should you start pushing like mad or keep it tight and wait for a premium (to push I suppose)?

you gotta go in a lot during early levels on this kinda table so either 1) you get elimanated and start up new tables or 2) you elemanate some guys and it's more of a short hand thing when blainds go up (the good situation).

Do you think it's possible to determine the table dynamic after level 1? I think I'll pay more attention to this and adjust my play accordingly.
Another question though: What about the tables where you have a bunch of maniacs swapping the chips around and nobody is getting knocked out?

Dude, learn ICM, push good ... and you are in the clear. Taking risks and chances in early level is not the best advice. If you do not use them, then check out SNGPT(.com) or SNGWIZ(.com) ... brilliant software, that teaches you late game push/fold strategy. A good idea is also to read posts and post interesting hands. (but please no bad beats) Yeah ... that should cover it ... GL at the tables!!

Don't change much, be a little more aggressive if they are tight, that's it. When blinds rise it's an icm push/fold game as always.

Well for starters you can only loosen up so much, even at a tight table, and expect to remain profitable.
The other thing to keep in mind is patience. High blinds with lot's of people left means one and only one thing--three quarters of the table is desperate! More often than not, your opponents will begin to drop like flies. So don't sweat it, just make the right decisions (i.e, +EV ICM calls and pushes), and this situation won't even phase you in less time than you think. Also, if you are playing anything higher than an $11 regular or comparable turbo-level, you are going to be dealing with this scenario often.
