If he said "AK no good", I'd fold

since he said "AA is no good", I'd call

[/ QUOTE ]

I actually noticed that whenever people say something in the chat box, no matter whether it was "AK no good" or "AA no good," it almost always means that they have a very strong hand. Usually I don't pay attention to WHAT they are saying. I only pay attention to the fact that they are actually SAYING something. People who are bluffing are usually sitting behind their computer, hoping they don't get a call, and they usually won't utter a word.

On the other hand, if the guy talks a lot at the table, I simply ignore his comments.

If you aren't willing to put 100BBs in with KK on the flop 653cc vs a cocky 35/10 douchebag who has been running over the table you are so weak tight you are guaranteed to be missing a ton of profitable situations. SSNL is not about heroic folds.

isnt someone who is 30/10 a cautious player? USually the simplest explanation is the right one.

Everyone on 2P2 knows chat is looking for a call.

Everyone on 2P2 thinks villians know that, and are using reverse pschology on them to get a fold.

Villians don't know who you are. They are chatting looking for a call.

Seriously, how often do you see villians chat looking for a fold?

35/10 is just a bad player full stop. He's seeing more than 1/3 flops, raising less than half the time, and still has aggression factor of 3. He's a moron. I have no opinion on chat tells cos I have chat switched off, but laying down kings on that flop vs a known non-nit is just burning money imo. You will see all sorts of retarded stuff turned over.

"You don't want me to call you. Because if I do, I have you." (cue the pedophilic smile).

I am starting to hate "truisms" like this.
"Dont bluff"
"Dont go broke in an unraised pot"
"Never slowplay"
etc etc etc

They help the absolute beginner,
but will stunt the growth of everyone else.

There - my very own vague, all-encompassing truism.

lol at everyone who use these kind of chat comments as tells.

If you played live, would you ignore a villain's "chat" during a hand?

[/ QUOTE ]

1/2 at Venetian, friend of mine gets involved in a hand with some broad. My buddy raised pre, chick called, rag flop, she leads, he raises (I'm 100% sure he has an overpair), she pauses for awhile and says "Did you hit a set?" and then a few seconds later says "I'm all in." I'm screaming at my friend telepathically to fold because she so just gave away that she has a set...but he called and got shown exactly that.

Moral: OF COURSE HE HAD THE GOODS
