What I mean is you hit the 16, as opposed to splitting and that's just about the same as folding....

Ken Uston advocated this in his books, not to split 8's vs. an Ace but maybe the world's change.. It’s been at least 20 years since I played any real blackjack...

Always split aces or eights (unless dealer gets no hole card, in which case you should hit AA vs. A and 88 vs. T or A).

So essentially Party has revised the bonus from 1 hour/day for 3-6 days to a single day for what will amount to somewhere between 5 and 20 minutes (I don't know what their exact player volume is). And since they don't actually pay out the extra money until the next day, you won't know when these 1000 2:1 BJs are used up.

I wasn't sure before, but I think it's now pretty likely that 2p2 (or other forum) activity was responsible for this revision.

EDIT: Apparently you will be able to read the number of blackjacks being dealt by the system: "During the promotion period, the number of promotional blackjacks that are yet to be dealt by the system will be displayed in the news and events section of the PartyCasino.com and PartyPoker.com client software."
