rivered top two pair,5/10 nl
i haven't been at the table very long, but i know most of the players, and the ones involved in this hand are all fairly bad, usually passive but prone to making weird bluffs sometimes, and overvaluing their hands
everyone has between $800 and $1000 except utg who has 500 so i have K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in the BB,utg makes it 30 (an utg raise isnt particularly a sign of strenght with this player the button calls,as does the small blind, and i call in the big blind flop is 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] its checked around turn is 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] sb bets 80,i call,so does button river is J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and SB bet out 300 so call or fold? |

Re: rivered top two pair,5/10 nl
It's a call, breaking his hand range down,
L: {TT 88 33 79s} which is 13 combinations, i'd discount the 79s due to flop bet and preflop call and never discount the sets, so weighted 9 combinations. W: {KT T8s TJs} i'd weight the KT less as that river bet may not always be happening w/ KT as he may slightly fear KJ or 79 for you and bet smaller, and i'd half discount T8s. TJs probably not discounted due to excitement on the river but say .25 due to turn bet and you said it's a passive game, so weighted 8. S: {KJ} split, which i wouldn't discount at all. So you are 9/8/4 lose/win/split, which comes out great for you. If you can start removing the KT from his range due to that river bet then you can start folding. |
