How was this played?

Villain is unknown. Not sure about turn/river especially.

Think I bet a bit more on the flop both times.

I am really not sure about turn/river against a unknown.
Maybe checking behind on the turn is a option as the flush got there and you have a lot of outs.

That flop 3-bet is pretty weak sauce. Bump that up a bit, bet a bit more on the turn. On the river I could see either pushing or checking behind. Hard to figure out what the villain has.

i agree...but i would have pushed the flop allllll day...too many draws out there and villain could also have 2-pair.

I agree, only way I push that flop is if I know Villian will call with a FD/pair.

If you had bet $6 on the flop, Villain might have raised to $15-20 instead of $8.5. You could then have 3-bet to $50-60 and put Villain all-in on the turn without even looking.
