i like this and aussie too. i like it all. there is no one saying we cant have multiple houses going at the same time. if you find someone who wants to go some place similiar, get to know em and see if it will work out.

This isnt the "2p2ers are ONLY allowed to go to One country" thread.

I would be down with Costa Rica. Does anyone know the visa specifics (ie how long can we stay in the country)?

This thread was just started in internet gambling. I'm a little bit worried about this:
[ QUOTE ]
People are much more friendly down there, however if you don't speak spanish you'll feel quite isolated. I knew a guy who lived down there for 2 years and didn't learn the language. He said it sucked.

[/ QUOTE ]
The last time I took Spanish was 6 years ago and I don't want to take a bunch of time re-learning it just so I can live in CR for a couple months. Can anyone else confirm this?

a) Thailand
very low cost of living
more exotic
lots of tourists
30 day renewable visas (by leaving the country)

[/ QUOTE ]

Lifetime 30 days visa run won't exist after 1st october.
You will get 3 * 30 days visa every 6 months.

A Possible Australian venue:

Other, less desirable places:

http://www.domain.com.au/Public/Prop...x?adid=4993499

Broad costings in $A (using the most expensive option above) per week*:
Rent: $175
Electricity: $10
Internet, including phone : $12 (that would pay for two ADSL2+ 24mbs services between the four of us)**
Gas: $5?
Pay TV: $4
Capital cost of furniture: $50???

*Obviously, these are estimations, aren't binding, and purely indicative
**In addition, we could get a third ADSL1 line on a different provider for full redundancy as backup internet for another few dollars a week.

In addition, someone mentioned beaches. Realistically, you're not likely to beat Australia for some of the best beaches in the world. Of Australian beaches, some of the best are literally within a few hundred metres of downtown Newcastle:

Nobby's Bank:

More photos of beaches literally adjacent to the CBD (downtown) are online at http://www.totaltravel.com.au/travel...castle-beaches

Stockton Beach, twenty minutes's drive away:
[image]http://www.neverhappen.com/images/20050825113149_stockton%20beach%20(small).jpg[/image]

Fingal Bay, thirty-five minute's drive away:

In the TV ad available online at http://www.wherethebloodyhellareyou.com/ the beaches from the ad are the latter two beaches above - Stockton and Fingal Bay.

This thread is depressing and really makes me want to leave the USA. Why do I have to pay so much for things? I live in a cheap area, too.
