Re: OOT decide my purchases
Dave,
Go VICUNA!!! Pretty sure full length is like $12k. "Known as the Fibre of the Gods, it is the finest and most precious textile raw material in the world, which is made waterproof and wind-resistant thanks to the Storm SystemŽ treatment in order to guarantee the same performance of a technical fabric - an exclusive product that only Loro Piana can offer. As a result of the deep knowledge of textiles and the expertise acquired through many years of research and testing, Loro Piana has managed to create perfectly wind- and water-resistant casual garments from a fabric that was once worn only by Incan Emperors, thus disclaiming the conviction that noble fibres are delicate and difficult to treat." |

Re: OOT decide my purchases
I'm pretty sure vicuna is still illegal in the US. I saw a vicuna overcoat in Toronto many years ago and it was like 25K Canadian, which at the time was about USD$5.

everyone else covered the other items, but i wanted to touch on one thing you mentioned. definately get a futon instead of a sofa bed for guests. i've slept in alot of sofa beds, including very expensive ones and they are terrible. even a medium quality futon is better than the best sofa bed for sleeping. [/ QUOTE ] Good advice. I've slept on 2 sofabeds and they were not particularly comfortable, but I didn't know if that was just me. |

Stop making excuses to not spend 5 figs on a coat. It is perfectly legal, they made an arrangement with the Peruvian (I think Peruvian) government and they are sold at LP stores.
