Re: Adjusting for really short games (<= 4 players)
WPEX still requires adjustments to be made due to rake, even with 100% RB. The only exception is HU play.

Re: Adjusting for really short games (<= 4 players)
WPEX calculates rake as it is contributed. I'm not sure I understand where you're coming from.

Re: Adjusting for really short games (<= 4 players)
It doesn't. The rake taken is divided between all players dealt into that hand.

Re: Adjusting for really short games (<= 4 players)
I don't think thats correct.
According to the numereous WPEX gm threads in the zoo the rake rebate calculation is done by dividing a player's contribution to the pot by the amount raked. I don't see how this could affect much strategically. |

Re: Adjusting for really short games (<= 4 players)
Those threads are wrong.
I sat down at a 5 handed 1/2 table and played 1 orbit. I folded every hand preflop and then sat out when it was my BB. My VPIP was 0. Over this sample my opponents played one raked pot. It was raked for $1 and the table was 4 handed when it was dealt. I folded preflop. After I left the table. I gained $0.25, or 1/4th of the $1 that was raked. The strategy implications are obvious. |
