[/ QUOTE ] I have read up on the W8 4Motion. Seems like a nice ride. Not very economical on gas mileage, though. And not really any faster than the 6 cylinder in the current Passat. It seems like you got a great deal, though, because they were $40K new, and now they are $20K three years later. |

I got a 2004 W8 as a loaner when my GTI was in the shop and I can't say that I was impressed. It seemed slow and the steering was drifty. Leather was alright, even though it was a couple years old.
