Default 50NL working on fundamentals, is this spew or weak or fine?

villan hasn't had to show much down but he's LAG, 35/22/2.5, and has been ratcheting it up a lot now that table went four-handed. I want to make a stand but I guess this wasn't the time...

* I know my line seems aggressive but is it actually kinda weak?
* Sheesh, I spent 50 BBs on this. When do you think it's worthwhile raising for information?

Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
four-handed
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $97.10
HERO: $55.35
SB: $20.72
BB: $48.90

Pre-flop: (4 players) HERO is Button with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
<font color="#cc0000">UTG raises to $1.5</font>, <font color="#cc0000">HERO raises to $5</font>, 2 folds, UTG calls.

Flop: 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($10.75, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">UTG bets $6</font>, <font color="#cc0000">HERO raises to $18</font>, <font color="#cc0000">UTG raises to $30</font>, HERO folds.
Uncalled bets: $12 returned to UTG.

Results:
Final pot: $46.75

I like a fold to the initial bet.

I am actually a bit puzzled by this hand. If the villain is actually a good LAG, and has take notes on your play, he will assume that you wont reraise his UTG hand without a big holding. So he is obviously not giving you credit for either the 8, or the pocket 3's. As played, I am probably calling the bet, then push on turn is a blank hits. Or push on the flop right away. This hand is actually quite read dependant, but make note that he is giving you pretty good odds right now. He makes less than a min-raise... Looks to me like he's trying to steal this one.

yeti theorem: 3rd raise on a paired flop is always bs.

And why wouldn't it apply anymore?

I can pull up the hand from final table of wcoop that strassa won where same action went down.

yeti theorem pretty much only applies to high stakes cash games/donkaments where players think more about continuing the preflop strength, etc. you're telling me you would never take the b/3b line with top trips?

Ya, I think we're in a mountain of hurt when he donks this flop. He'd have to be quite a lag to donk Ak, AQ here often enough to make this call profitable.

Furthermore, I definitely don't like a raise. I think 88-AA are all live in his range and I don't think we fold 88-TT raising here.

Not like this, its just too effective at getting folds vs people who bluff raise or raise to find out where they are.
