I played live 3/6 on Labor Day

just curious--did you play in NW part up there--uh Trump's casino, or whatever that is near the stinkytown? Either way, what limits do they spread? You, bobbyshaftoe, buck & train should meet up for some live fun sometime.

Was Trump, now Majestic Star II. I don't remember the spread since, well, I knew I was playing 3/6 and didn't feel like committing the rest to memory. Besides, it wouldn't have been what they spread on an average day since they were crazy busy on Labor Day. Their normal $100+rebuy Mon/Wed tournament sold out all the open tables in the room.

But yeah, I'd love to have a Micros-take-over-Stinkytown thread. Someone's gotta see my hat to make its purchase worthwhile.

Cliffnotes:
I walk into the casino and give my initials to the check-in. I wanted to play 4/8 here as the 3/6 game was a kill pot (if a person wins twice in a row, no SD required, it turns into a 6-12 game until he maintains the streak),

What is a "Kill game"? we dont have those over here

A player who wins two pots in a row must post a "kill blind" on the very next hand, which is double the BB. The table stakes are doubled for the duration of the hand (although the SB & BB are posted at the normal stakes, and so the SB & BB still would have to "complete" to call the kill blind if it is unraised to them).

Excellent post, BTW. The 4-8 game in my B&M is more beatable than alot of the .05/.10 games online! We get all the typical mid-life crisis burnout drunks, plus the old-timer retirees who won't raise without the stone-cold nuts, plus the punk kids who watch World Poker Tour and think that they're Phil Ivey.

The boredom is what kills alot of B&M limit players' chip stacks, i think. I see so many donks cold-calling 3 bets with hands like Q-4s and limping utg with K-7os, just because they love to see every flop. How can I get bored with that kind of action!!?? Its like playing poker in the Twilight Zone.

And you're asolutely right, isolation plays are wholly ineffective in most low-limit live games i've played, too.
